Rughe [Wrinkles]
Le rughe sono pieghe sulla superficie della nostra pelle che segnano il passaggio dall'età giovanile a quella adulta. Sono l'emblema della nostra maturità, del tempo che ci scorre appresso. Molte persone se ne vergognano, cercando di nasconderle ad occhi indiscreti, come se così facendo riuscissero a portare indietro il tempo. Ma le nostre rughe sono anche il segno delle esperienze vissute, del nostro passato, delle cose, dei luoghi e delle persone che in un modo o nell'altro ci hanno segnato. Per realizzare il progetto in cui avrei dovuto raccontare il mio mondo, ho tentato di trovare dei modi alternativi per imprimere sul mio corpo le esperienze vissute nel corso dei miei 21 anni di vita: pur non avendo ancora rughe visibili, ci sono momenti della mia vita che porto appresso ogni giorno, e in questo modo ho voluto raccontarli. Per questo motivo ho voluto chiamare il mio progetto, semplicemente, “Rughe”.
Wrinkles are curves on our skin's surface which marks out the passage from youth to adulthood. They are the emblem of our maturity, of the time that flows behind. Many people are ashamed of it, and trying to hide from intrusive glances, they think this can bring the time back. But wrinkles are also the sign of the experiences we lived, our past, things, places and people that have been important for us. To realize my project about my world in 10 shots I tried to find alternative ways to impress on my body the experiences lived during my 21 years of life: despite my lack of visual wrinkles, there are moments of my past that I carry with me in my every-day life and in this way I wanted to narrate them. For this reason I called my project simply “Wrinkles”.

Questo piccolo progetto prende le mosse dall'idea di unire emozione e meccanica, nuove tecniche digitali e vecchie tecniche di lomografia analogica. Tendere la mano al passato, alla ricerca specifica del nostro tempo, alla ricerca di nuovi racconti, spinti dal sospetto che il linguaggio comune ci stia involgarendo, privando lentamente della nostra storia. Cominciando a sentire il proprio spazio come punto di osservazione multiplo, per creare visioni sempre nuove. Inter-fotogrammi come partitura di immagini per riscrivere e rileggere noi stessi e la città attorno, le nostre impressioni, i nostri piccoli contributii: per dare vita alle nostre emozioni e imprimere la loro memoria nel tempo.
This project has been created by the idea to combine emotion and mechanics, new digital techniques and old analogical and lomography methods. Holding out one's harm to the past, towards the specific research of our time, looking for new stories, urged by the suspect that common language is coarsening us, depriving us of our history. To feel our space as a multiple viewpoint, to create always new visions. Inter-fotogrammi( Inter-frames) as a score of imagines to re-create and re-write ourselves and the spaces around us, our feelings, our tiny contributions: to give life to our emotions and impress their memory forever.

Sono andata negli Stati Uniti per cercare di capire l'essenza del sogno americano, di quello stile di vita mostrato nei film: un mondo fatto di luci, colori, persone, parchi naturali, fast food, insegne luminose, drive-in, pancakes, così irreale e al contempo così affascinante. Ho cercato di mostrare il confine tra realtà e finzione di questo paese così contraddittorio, partendo dalla città artificiale per eccellenza, Las Vegas. Percorrendo Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco per terminare in Arizona, nell'affascinante Grand Canyon.
I went to the US to try to find the soul of the American dream, the way of life shown just on movies: a world filled with lights, colors, people, natural reserves, fast food, adverts, drive in, pancakes: so unreal and fascinating at the same time. I tried to show the borders between fake and real in this contradictory country, starting from the fake city par excellence, Vegas, and then LA, San Diego, San Francisco. Ending in the fascinating Arizona with its charming Grand Canyon.

On the Roof è un progetto in evoluzione. Nella nostra vita di tutti i giorni siamo abituati a camminare guardando di fronte a noi, evitando lo scontro con gli Altri. La vita moderna richiede di essere competitivi, veloci, senza tempo da perdere per guardarsi attorno. Per questo motivo è importante alle volte fermarsi per guardare le cose da prospettive differenti.
On the Roof is an ongoing work. In our every-day routine we are used to walk looking straight, avoiding crushes into others. Modernity requires us to be competitive, fast, having no time to watch in front of and around us. For this reason it is fundamental sometimes to stop and watch things from different perspectives.

Comptine d'un Autre Été
I made this project during my summer experience in France. For me living in Paris throw yourself in a sort of Fairy Tale, where people are the characters of the story and places bring you in another world. It takes few minutes to give up turistical spots and being catapulted in another time that seems to have been stopped into the atmosphere of Paris in the 20s.
